Social media - where we are going

Today social media, is kool to indulge in but we can say that we are going to a place where we can have 150 friends and connections and when the time comes no one will lend you a $ 100 dollar bill.

It is a fact, but it will need more drill down and sync in. Let me explain it to you.You will have a twitter account and there are 200 people who follow you, but that does not mean they love you or they will help you. They follow you because you tweet some porn jokes every 1 hour or some thing.


So what is the solution for this, i am not a sage to tell you the answer right now, but i say that there are ways in which social media should touch the human stuff of real connection.

You may have a linked in connection in town, but are you willing to hang out for coffe this week end.The answer is no. Think about this aspect of social media and you will be astonished to some extent.

Let us try to create a better world by making social media more touching. You can not consider yourself better because you have more friends or more connections online. It depends on are you really connected to the people.

Why Twitter is a huge success in Social Media?

I have seen many web apps and social media sites, but there is something that makes twitter stand out. Let us digg into it and try to find the answers. People say there is a need and then something happens.

Users on the internet were looking for the below needs and twitter made it happen.

1. Less time in doing the task
The micro blogging allows people to complete the task in few minutes. It will not take hours to post a tweet- a simple message telling what you are doing right now.

2.Cycle of follow
People want to be liked on the internet and off the internet. If i am following a person on twitter that indicates i have some interest in his work or him/her. In extreme cases it may be the case that i do not like that person but i want to spy on him/her. These are extreme worlds but who is going to benefit .... you got it Twitter.

3.User experience
The twitter site is easy to sign in, the user messages are intuitive. You can easily figure out what you can do on the site as they have not tried to do a lot.

Ok let me tell some unfriendly things about twitter. Here is the list.

1. No control
You can not stop anyone from following you easily.Pelople can follow you to the bedroom if you are expert in tweeting, letting them know everything.
2.Legal suits
You may have heard some stories of people getting caught into legal issues by not keeping there mouth shut when they should.

So use it in a judicious manner, tweet with a sound mouth is all that i can suggest.
